I took it with Michael Gustafson. Dr. G is a great guy. He made learning programming fairly straight forward. Lectures were dry at times, but if you go to lab you will do well on lab reports and the grading is not hard. If you put in the work you will do fine.

Not terribly difficult class in the big scheme of things, but it feels hard because it's first semester of college and you have to figure out how to actually do work in a college course. If you stay caught up and make sure you understand the material (as opposed to letting TA's give you all the answers at office hours) you will be fine.

This class is the worst. It's the reason many freshman leave Pratt. You will bond with your classmates over the work - there is a lot of work, but it is kind of foundational for computational work moving forward in other classes.
